Job Description

 

AI Singapore (AISG) is a national AI programme launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF) to anchor deep national capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI). 

 

The programme office is hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and brings together all Singapore-based research institutions and the vibrant ecosystem of AI start-ups and companies developing AI products to perform use-inspired research, grow the knowledge, create the tools, and develop the talent to power Singapore's AI efforts.

 

We are looking for a Prompt Engineer who can build prompt pipelines and further develop machine learning engineering processes that will power our AI products. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities 

●   Creatively design prompts or prompt chains to make Large Language Models (e.g. ChatGPT, Bard, BLOOM) execute a variety of tasks (e.g. generate a story or a song lyric) reliably and efficiently 

●   Discover, test, and document best practices for a wide range of tasks relevant to our products

●   Build a set of tutorials and interactive tools that teach the art of prompt engineering to our team and customers

●   Keep up with the trend and updates on technologies using AI, seek market opportunities, and learn from other players in the market, help generate future product ideas

●   Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, user research to ensure a smooth product development process

 

Qualifications

●   A recognized degree, preferably in computer science, communication studies, linguistics, or literature

●   At least 5 years of working experience

●   Display programming and QA skills with comfort in writing clean code for production or the willingness to learn

●   Display evidence of strong copywriting and/or creative writing skills

●   Familiarity with and willingness to learn about the rapidly-changing Large Language Models technology and industry 

●   The ability to use open-source models/codebase as well as APIs that demonstrate prompt engineering on large language or image generation models

●   An excellent communicator who loves teaching technical concepts and creating high quality documentation that helps out others

●   A strong understanding of the cultural and linguistic nuances in the Southeast Asian region (native speaker of any SEA language)

●   Familiarity with LangChain is advantageous

●   Familiarity with web application development is advantageous
