At KLM E&M you will be working on the onboarding project for interns at the MRO Lab. You will be working in a team with other interns to improve the current process of the platform. At the MRO Lab we are working on a structured HR process. The subjects we are currently working on are, onboarding game, guidance throughout the internship and offboarding. We are building a system with the chatbot that can support students/new hired staff.

What are you going to do?

These are the descriptions of the different subjects from the Intern Redesign:

Matching: we want to provide a better match between KLM E&M and the possible future interns. Therefore, we want to develop better connections with the universities, so it will be easier to recruit new interns. We do this through an internship market, which will be supported by the chatbot.

Onboarding: We want to improve the onboarding process and make this as smooth as possible for everyone involved (students, hiring managers and recruitment). The goal is to let every intern start their internship without any issues. You will continue the research and development of this process. Your job is to continue working on the AI platform which supports the process of onboarding, guidance throughout the internship and offboarding and build this in cooperation with the onboarding game developers and an external company to set up and test a prototype.

Guidance throughout the internship: You will research what the possibilities will be to support this proces with a chatbot and make a proposal.

Offboarding: the purpose of an optimal offboarding is to connect our interns with the organization, and how we can optimize their time here. During this time, we can help them with their possible future within KLM. This is all part of the offboarding process. Your job is to do research if and how we can support this with a chatbot.

Your profile

We are looking for an HBO or WO student, either in second, third or last year of the study Human Resource Management. This means you can do your internship or graduation thesis. Your competences are:

  • Being able to work independently, but can also work in a team
  • You have strong communication skills
  • You are assertive and can take the lead when needed
  • You have a way of working structured
