We are looking for a NLP Developer to join our Automation delivery team in Hyderabad, India.

The NLP Developer role is part of the International Automation Function within our Customer & Product org, created to deliver a consistent and transformational delivery of automated solutions across the whole of PokerStars.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both! We will kit you out to work from home but know that working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

Why we need you?

As an NLP Developer you will be responsible for the development of our NLP solutions. You will capture, interpret and articulate the Product support specifics from the business. You will configure and optimise tools based on these requirements and ensure all users have access to the knowledge they need to give our customers the best possible experience. This includes the identifying and implementing product changes to improve the user and customer experience as well as providing operational support for issues and day to day requests.

You will be part of a diverse team based across a number of locations who strive to break the distance by using our technologies to communicate better and to upskill and support each other on a daily basis. We are proud of the relationships we have built with our suppliers and the rest of the business over the years.

Who we’re looking for?

Reporting to the NLP Lead within the Automation Department, you will:

  • Configure, maintain and optimise our products based on requirements
  • Manage product improvements and new feature introduction based on the requirements provided by the business with a focus on our NLP suite of solutions
  • Test and report on the performance of implementations and BAU process changes for improved application experience
  • Prototype and test our system features and provide details to our stakeholders
  • Help educate others on how the system works and providing support to our internal stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders and third-party suppliers in order to gather all information needed to create training material and product information as well as resolving issues and bugs as quickly as possible
  • You might need to work on other ad hoc and BAU tasks as directed by the Management team to help operational performance.


  • Good understanding of how web applications and web services work – including REST APIs and webhooks
  • Familiarity with frontend languages – HTML and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with file formats such as XML and JSON
  • Experience in issue resolution
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills related to Machine Learning and other automation technologies
  • Must be able to multitask and willing to work on multiple projects at a given time
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with business stakeholders and external clients
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage expectations
  • Strong analytical and algorithmic thinking skills.

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

  • 1 – 2 years of experience developing & maintaining virtual assistant / chat bot solutions using a chatbot development platform (e.g., Google DialogFlow, Microsoft Bot, or IBM Watson)
  • Good working knowledge of Python
  • Practical experience utilising Lean & Agile methodologies
