Job Summary:

As a PH - Sr. AI Conversation Designer, you will be part of the team responsible for designing products that help our guests gain the most enjoyment from their experiences within our Parks, Resorts and Cruises. Beyond providing practical and useful solutions, you will create the content architecture and strategy for the digital experiences that connect with our guests on an emotional level, delivering designs with the quality and character expected from Disney.

Your role is a crucial part of the Guest journey as the Content Design team acts as the connective element that supports our Guests' content experience across multiple products, platforms, touch points and teams. You'll approach your work from a versatile, holistic perspective – applying expertise across user experience, content strategy, and interface design – to determine complete product solutions. This is an unmatched opportunity for a conversation designer who is passionate about delivering resonant experiences across current and new digital platforms with a focus on digital assistants.

Additionally, as a member of the senior team, your position requires you to contribute to the shape of the Content Design department by exhibiting optimism, subject matter expertise, and mentoring skills. Identifying content design needs across the organization and communicate opportunities to senior leadership will be an essential component of success within the Product Design & Creative team. You will report to Manager - Content Design & Operations

This is a project hire for 12 months


  • Develop strategy, design and create content for digital assistants
  • Use industry, business, Guest, product, and site analytics to guide content decisions on digital products and experiences
  • Guide the creation, distribution and governance of content for all assigned projects
  • Develop strategic content designs to inspire, shape, and create compelling experiences that benefit our Guests and support business and project priorities across platforms
  • Develop complex information architectures and taxonomies across products and platforms
  • Collaborate with Copywriters to ensure content achieves goals and support the Guest experience
  • Ensure consistency and collaboration between disciplines and strategic continuity across content design deliverables
  • Build relationships with partners and teams to identify opportunities to support organization-wide needs with content design
  • Research and reports on relevant industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for new or improved content experiences across the organization

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience curating text to speech and chatbot content including creation of utterances that improve the performance of specific pieces of content
  • Have a grasp of organizational principles of content, including information architecture, building taxonomies and categorization.
  • Proficiency in User Experience best practices and concepts as they relate to content, product and feature UI
  • Edit/re-write content to style guide, have expertise in different kinds of digital assistants
  • Easily identify Content Design needs for many products with the ability to estimate Content Design hours to inform product budgets and timelines
  • Integrate and collaborate naturally with Product Designers to create experiences that fulfill product and requirements
  • Comfortable extracting and analyzing different types of data to inform content design recommendations
  • Distill complex content design concepts into clear and clear presentations for review with several partners, including executive leadership
  • Proficiency adjusting content in a CMS
  • Test content in different environments, and help troubleshoot
  • Understand the effects of new technologies in changing Guest experiences and the KPIs that measure them
  • Bring original, strategic ideas to the discipline and organization; present to all leaders to secure approval of CD ideas and recommendations
