Our designers come from a diverse set of skills and background - design systems, visual, interaction, content, and product design. At ServiceNow, design has a very intentional seat at the table, so our team collaborates closely with both engineering and product management from the get-go.

What you get to do in this role:

  • You lead UX design for a suite of conversational AI products working across a team of designers 
  • You work collaboratively inside a cross-functional team, while providing design leadership inside a truly agile environment
  • You work closely with product management, engineering and data scientists, to create a world class conversational artificial intelligence
  • You conduct user needs assessment, task analysis, and develop user profiles; identify key tasks for user research, competitive analysis, user testing, and develop usability plans
  • You develop high-level task flow content and then use storyboards and other design documents to communicate concepts and vision to others
  • You develop UI layouts including controls, labels and graphical elements for software on both mobile and desktop platforms with an eye towards experience unification
  • You create end-to-end detailed design deliverables as a series of experience maps, storyboards, wireframes, and interactive prototypes


Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant design experience in UX or interaction design with heavy emphasis on human-centered design methods
  • An inspiring portfolio demonstrating exceptional and innovative product design solutions for end-to-end user journeys that satisfy user needs and business objectives
  • Experience mentoring or leading designers on complex projects
  • Experience in producing high-fidelity specifications for deliverables such as product design experiences, design languages, and frameworks across one or more domains or key strategic initiatives
  • Expert with design tools (e.g. Figma, Miro) to produce wireframes and high-fidelity interactive prototypes
  • Experience working in an iterative and agile development environment
  • High level of initiative and a “make it work” ethos to successfully bring a product design from conception to launch with minimal supervision
  • Influence skills and drive to continuously improve product design processes across business units and design teams
  • Experience facilitating design thinking workshops
  • Experience in creating content and/or designing with compliance to WCAG 2.0/2.1 AA guidelines

Basic Qualifications

  • A/BS degree or higher in Design, Design Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent combination of education and experience in other related fields
  • At least 2+ years of experience in conversational or messaging interfaces (chat bots, virtual assistants, voice, and/or admin tools)
  • Experience participating in the complete product development lifecycle of web and/or software applications
  • Experience in user experience design or industry experience (corporate, software, web or agency)
  • Ability to understand and distill complex problems into elegant, informed solutions
  • Ability to articulate and champion your design solutions based on human-centered design principles and incorporating research data
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with multi-functional and multi-disciplined teams
