Reporting directly to the Digital Product Design Lead, you will work alongside, and collaborate with, other talented Designers, Editors, Product owners and Developers to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
You’ll play a key role in designing the user experience of our conversational user interfaces, working end-to-end from product discovery right through to solution design to create an integrated, omni-channel, seamless customer experience across the AA website, app and smart products. Working closely with design colleagues and developers, you’ll be part of a cross functional team creating digital experiences that transform the lives of UK drivers.
You will be an experienced conversation designer/natural language interaction designer
passionate about conversational technologies. You have proven natural language design skills and are excited about the challenges of working on emerging technologies. You have a strong understanding and experience of building complex conversational interactions and can also educate others who are new to the technology.
You will need to be a positive self-starter and a customer advocate who is always keen to understand customer needs and behaviour. You will need to test and validate the experiences you design and can call on a variety of methods to do so – including analytics, split-testing, remote user testing, call listening, customer feedback and lab studies. Your portfolio of outstanding design work must demonstrate this iterative, user centred approach.

What will I be doing?
- Designing user-focused conversational interfaces for voice interactions, chatbots, live chat, messaging and digital assistants
- Creating interaction models (E.g. intents, utterances, slots, slot types, entities)
- Design end-to-end conversational interactions across all use cases
